SUPER-NESSIE is an evolution of the NESSIE underwater dredging robot, with more than twice the production capacity. It was developed in France by WATERTRACKS.
NESSIE stands for New Environmental System for Sediment
Innovative Evacuation.
SUPER-NESSIE has been designed for large-scale sediment removal.
The first SUPER-NESSIE operation involves cleaning 1,200,000m3 of sediment from the upper basin of an EDF pumped-storage power station (STEP), with the aim of restoring sediment continuity to the river concerned.

PERFORMANCE
This 35-ton robot can dredge up to 300 tons of sediment per hour at depths of over 300 m.
REAL-TIME CONTROL
Precise instrumentation enables real-time monitoring and adjustment of production density to control the concentration of sediment discharged downstream.
CONTROLLED SEDIMENT FLOW
In particular, SUPER-NESSIE makes it possible to restore sediment flow in a controlled manner, while respecting the technical, environmental and legal constraints specific to each structure.
PUMP IT UP!
Its 270 kW pump can achieve flow rates in excess of 2000m3/h over a discharge distance of up to 2 km. It features specially designed cutters for dredging different types of sediment.

The exceptional dimensions of the SUPER-NESSIE underwater robot do not prevent it from being transported by standard trucks once disassembled into three road-gauge pieces.
SUPER-NESSIE can be mobilized, assembled on site and ready for use in less than a week.
